Tartan Export is an independent film studio that brings stories from Scotland to audiences and screens around the world.

Tartan Export was founded by Ally Macleod and Becky Hope-Palmer in 2o25. Our aim is to work with the best of Scottish talent, regardless of background or connections, and build a new wave of Scottish cinema that will show the world what Scotland is all about.
Ally is an award winning independent film producer, acclaimed as a leading voice in Gaelic cinema, who has held a number of senior leadership positions across innovation and investment in Scotland. ​Becky is one of the most exciting and original writers and directors in Scotland, playing a leading role in Scottish theatre and critically acclaimed for her plays and productions that have toured the world.
